Perinatal Counselling
Alongside my broader counselling work, I have a particular interest in supporting women through pregnancy, early motherhood and the many and often complex emotional challenges that can accompany this stage of life.
In this line of work, I am typically working with areas that include -
-
Pregnancy worries
-
Loss of identity/Identity changes
-
Matrescence
-
The drive to be perfect
-
Feelings such as failing, overwhelm, guilt, sadness, fear
-
Relationship changes after having children
-
Anxiety and/or Depression
This is not an exhaustive list. You don't need to be able to tick off any number of the above areas, or have a particular diagnosis or to be going through a specific difficulty to come to counselling. It's enough to feel that something doesn't feel right, or that you'd like an opportunity to consider what's happening.
If you're unsure whether I can help, please get in touch and we can talk about what you're looking for.
